Gifting a Book of Mormon
The Prospective Elder Initiative
A concerned member of the Church has given the Prescott Valley Arizona stake the gift of spirituality - 500 hard-cover copies of the Book of Mormon! This generous member wanted to provide one tabbed and marked book for each of the nearly 500 prospective elders on our ward rosters in the Prescott Valley, Chino, and Dewey areas. Keep reading to find out how to get involved in this amazing initiative that's designed to pair each perspective elder with a Book of Mormon.
Like all endowments, our spiritual philanthropist would like to ensure that this charitable gift is put to good use, as it represents no small expense, so, we have worked together to establish a few stipulations and steps to make sure that this amazing gift giving initiative is maximally effective. Read about these steps below:
There are certain pre-requisites that should be met if you plan on giving away one of these free BoMs to a prospective elder. Please read these pre-requisites before accepting a free book to give away.
Contact your elders quorum president to get everything you need (a book, tabs, an index, and a name of a prospective elder).
Before gifting the book, please mark and tab the book (free printed tabs, and 18-question index sheets are provided).

*Use these links if your family would like to order your own hard cover BoMs, and tabs (Avery 16281). You'll also need to print the 18 questions on the tabs yourself with this tab file. Finally, with this index file you can print out the 18 Questions of the Soul for gluing into the front cover of the BoM as an index. There you go, now you're spiritually self reliant!
